FMCG / Manufacture in Household Brands Company is seeking a Team Assistant/Secretary

Mature candidates ( 35 – 45 years old)   will be considered with,

Relevant degree or diploma in Office Management & Technology or related (preferred)

  • 3-5 years working experience in a similar position, supporting a sales team would be very beneficial
  • Strong analytical ability and numeracy skills
  • Ability to handle own correspondence
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to handle confidential correspondence and issues

A decisive personality who is creative, quick-thinking, independent, yet team oriented


  • Full PA support to National Sales Manager, organise his life, personal support
  • To provide a team assistant and value added support service to the National Key Accounts Manager and team – as outlined in the principal accountabilities listed below.
  • Liaison with South African customer base at Head Office level inter alia; setting up of appointments, assisting with price queries and general queries
  • Responsible for maintaining all customers Price Files.
  • Responsible for Maintenance of Usabco Base Price File.
  • Verify and Rectify all orders
  • General assistance with promotional and special deals.
  • Responsible for preparing new product take on forms
  • Compiling sales reports and pricing strategies for various SA customers.
  • Responsible for completing take on forms for new customer accounts.
  • Responsible for updating the promotional grid.
  • Assist with general queries eg, price queries, delivery queries, merchandising queries, stock queries.
  • Liaise with buyers, distributors and customers on behalf of the National Key Accounts Manager
  • Typing and Filing
  • Ordering office stationery
  • Drawing samples
  • Booking the boardroom
  • Liaison with foreign and local visitors.
  • Prepare the itinerary for foreign travels
  • Handling own correspondence.
  • General duties related to functioning of the National Key Accounts Managers


Sales administrative Support

  • Interaction with customer base at Head office level, inter alia; setting up appointments, assisting with price queries, updating price files, promotions and special orders.
  • Type and co-ordinate all correspondence, memo’s, schedules, agendas, Promotional Grid/Volume Driver.
  • Ensure that all correspondence is filed in the relevant files.


General Office Support

  • Keep an updated filing system.
  • Manage conference/meeting, organising venues and catering.
  • Assist with general office duties as and when required.


Diary Management

  • Manage the Key Account’s diary so as to keep it updated, and ensure that all relevant appointments with key customers are made as requested.
  • Make travel bookings as requested

HOURS:   8.15 -17.15

STARTING DATE:    ASAP, within notice

SALARY RANGE: R 9 000 – R 10 000 (maybe R11 000 for an exceptional candidate) + benefits
